China dominates in women’s javelin throw
The chinese contingent dominated the medals in the women's javelin throw. Shiying Liu won the gold medal with a 66.09-meter throw, as well as breaking the Asian Games record, which was previously held by compatriot Zhang Li with a 65.47-m throw at the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, South Korea.
The silver medal went to Liu’s compatriot, Huihui Lyu, who managed a throw of 63.16 m, while the bronze medal was won by Republic of Korea athlete Gyeong Ae Gim with a throw of 56.74 m.
Meanwhile, Indonesian athlete Siti Nazirah Napisatul Munawaroh came in 10th position with a throw of 37.86 m.
