The Opening Ceremony will be held on 18th August 2018 at GBK main stadium in Jakarta.
The 18-th Asian Games will be inaugurated through a colossal ceremony as a way to show the world that Indonesia is a big nation that is capable of hosting an international event.
The Asian Games 2018 opening ceremony, which will be witnessed by billions of spectators around world, is going to feature renowned Indonesian singers, such as Anggun, who is already internationally recognized, Raisa, Tulus, Edo Kondologit, Putri Ayu, Fatin, GAC, Kamasean and Via Vallen. These musicians will be performing on a spectacular stage, one of the largest of its kind.
The ceremony stage, with features of 120-meter length, 30-meter width and 26-meter height, will showcase a towering mountain as its background, accompanied by Indonesian beautiful, unique plants and flowers.
This stage, manually made by artists from Bandung and Jakarta, will also become the arena for a total of 4,000 dancers to perform, choreographed by top choreographers Denny Malik and Eko Supriyanto. Having trained for months, these dancers will perform an energetic and elegant show alongside an orchestra of hundred musicians with its two conductors Addie M.S. and Ronald Steven, whose reputation is already well-known in Indonesian music scene.
